Our Story
We take pride as a woman owned small business. Originally based in Scarborough, we are ecstatic to now be based in Beach Hill at our first brick and mortar. The owner Jessica has over 10 years of experience in the industry. Everything from restaurants, cafes, hotels and bakeries - she has done it all! Jessica tried a bit of everything to realize owning her own cafe was her ultimate dream and thus Julienne’s was born!
Julienne
May 17, 1943- May 16, 2022
Julienne, Jessica’s grandmother- is the inspiration behind the beautiful pink cafe. Partners in crime in the kitchen, Julienne instilled a love of baking through sharing and teaching Jess at a very young age. Julienne was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in September 2021 and unfortunately passed in May of 2022. The cafe is Jessica’s homage to her grandmother, you can see this through the personal touches of vintage plates, frames and the photos of Julienne on the walls.
A New Chapter
The new brick-and-mortar is a tribute to Jessica’s grandmother. So that everyone can stop by for their Wednesday cupcake and say I’m on my way to Julienne’s. Her home was a gathering place and we’re hoping to make Julienne’s the same. Stop by for something sweet at 2195 Gerrard Street East!
